World Languages & Leadership: a OneWorld Now & STARTALK program

Program Description
Learn Mandarin Chinese, Arabic, or Korean virtually this summer while making new friends from across the country! The program has three components: language class, cultural activities, and leadership workshops.
Language Class
In your language class, you’ll study Mandarin Chinese, Arabic, or Korean in an immersive setting. You’ll learn to communicate about your everyday needs in a new language, such as introducing yourself or reading a menu.
Cultural Activities
Cultural activities will allow you to practice your language skills in a fun and relaxed environment. A few activities our students have done in the past include: learning basic taekwondo, practicing Arabic calligraphy, cooking Chinese scallion pancakes, and much more!
Leadership Workshops
Once a week, you’ll participate in Leadership workshops that will push you to better understand your self, your community, and your world.
