Part-time after-school Korean Teacher for Global Leadership Program
OneWorld Now! is an after-school language and global leadership program for high school students in the greater Seattle area. Our vision is that all young people have access to life-changing international education. We seek an independent, organized, and dedicated individual to join our teaching team, taking over an existing Korean 1 class for the second semester from February – June. Commitment: Teach Korean I 4:30pm – 6pm Tuesdays and Thursdays, plus attend teachers’ meetings 3:30 – 5:00pm on alternating Fridays. Compensation: $30/hour, including one hour of paid lesson planning time per class. Potential to teach additional classes during the 2020-21 school year. Ideal start date is March 1, 2020.
Whether you are a native, heritage, or second language speaker of Korean, this is a chance to share the language and culture you love with high school students and work with a dedicated team of teachers of other critical languages.
The ideal candidate will possess some or all of the following characteristics:
Compensation: $30/hour, including one hour of paid lesson planning time per class and 30 minutes paid travel time to attend teachers’ meetings. Must be authorized to work in the United States; OneWorld Now! does not sponsor visa applications or petitions.
Location: Class is held at Franklin High School (3013 S Mt Baker Blvd, Seattle, WA 98144). Teachers’ staff meetings are held at the OneWorld Now! office (610 Maynard Ave S, Seattle WA 98106).
