We are thrilled to share the news that OneWorld Now! was recently accredited as a supplementary school by AdvancEd and the Northwest Accreditation Commission.
AdvancED is the accrediting agency for more than 34,000 schools and school systems across the United States and 70 other nations.
Since our inception, OneWorld Now! has been committed to providing all young people access to transformative international education. We take pride in our 15-year track record of creating a safe, inclusive community that brings diverse students together to learn world languages, grow as leaders, and obtain important life skills.
Official accreditation supports OneWorld Now!’s strategy to offer more programs and serve more students across Puget Sound, and beyond. We’re enthusiastic about our enhanced ability to work with schools and expand opportunities for students to obtain credit for world languages and global leadership classes.
With our new status as a supplementary school, we are rolling out new program options: Language Clubs for middle school students and Summer Prep Courses for incoming high school freshman. If you’d like a club or prep course at your institution, firstname.lastname@example.org. More is on they way, so stay tuned!
All the best,
Jennifer Tanaka, Executive Director
Thank you to the many people who played roles during the year and a half accreditation process! From students and parents who provided programmatic feedback to staff, teachers and board members who participated in meetings and interviews, it was an all hands-on-deck effort. Finally, a special thank you to the external review team, who ultimately recommended OneWorld Now! to the AdvanceED decision board, resulting in our accreditation approval.
